Well if anyone is even going to talk about this movie, it’s necessary to first talk about the authenticity. Perhaps it’s real, perhaps it isn’t. Depending on what perspective I choose, I can watch this film and pick it apart and question everything, or I can watch it and attempt to validate every frame. I’m not sure. If this film isn’t real, or if it’s exaggerated in some way, I do have to say it’s amazingly convincing. I sat in my chair completely engrossed for the entire running time, and it almost doesn’t matter if it’s real or not. By the end, this is a very beautiful and sad little movie. In the middle it’s a fascinating enigma, and as more and more answers are revealed, everything becomes genuine and human. I can’t tell you much else, because to tell you the premise is to ruin the movie, but it could not be more relevant to our time or our sentiments.
