Beginners is a delightful film. It’s not perfect. It’s in fact often jumpy and unfocused, yet its constantly warm. It’s not a pretentious film. It just wants you to see humanity and share in their humanity. It’s optimistic and beautiful, with simple messages and loveable characters. It’s not a film you intellectualize and talk about for hours, but one you feel in your soul.
